Affinity Legacy Partners with Resilia to Advance Community Impact

Partnership to provide capacity-building technology to nonprofits in 10 New York counties

New Orleans, La. – Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and Bronx-based Affinity Legacy, Inc. have come together to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits serving populations within 10 New York counties, including the Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester.

As part of a Community Grant Program launched in 2022, Affinity Legacy is supporting community-based organizations via one-time grants across four funding priorities: mental health; food insecurity; formerly incarcerated individuals; and consumer education/workforce advancement. The Community Grant Program is an extension of Affinity Legacy's mission, which embodies the belief that communities thrive when residents have not only access to high-quality medical care but also options for good education, housing, and jobs; safety and a life without fear of violence; and freedom from environmental hazards.

As an added component of the grant funding, Affinity Legacy is partnering with Resilia to provide capacity-building solutions. Through Resilia, Affinity Legacy's nonprofit grantees will gain access to 1:1 coaching, fundraising tools, and an array of online training courses, templates, and resources to increase community impact.

Through the partnership, Affinity Legacy has also joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 60+ funders focused on elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and serving grassroots organizations.
