San Francisco Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Bay Area Nonprofits
Partnership to focus on supporting BIPOC-led and serving organizations
New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and San Francisco Foundation (SFF) have come together to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits in the Bay area focused on serving Black, Indigineous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.
SFF’s mission is to mobilize resources and act as a catalyst for change to build strong communities, foster civic leadership, and promote philanthropy in the San Francisco Bay Area. Directed by a trust-based and nonprofit first approach, the partnership prioritizes BIPOC-led and serving nonprofit partners.
By centering equity across all of their work, SFF has become known as a regional and national leader in advancing equity, and this deep alignment with Resilia’s mission is certain to foster a meaningful and impactful partnership.
“The San Francisco Foundation is committed to strengthening our partners' capacity to do their best work. After listening carefully to feedback on what is needed to build strong, vibrant organizations, we are excited to partner with Resilia, a Black woman-led social impact organization which provides nonprofits and change makers access to capacity-building support tailored to individual needs and priorities,” said Sengsouvanh Leshnick, SFF, Director of Strategic Learning and Evaluation. “Resilia's equity-centered and human-centered approach deeply resonates with SFF, and we are eager to learn from Resilia’s team and our partners.”
“We are proud to partner with San Francisco Foundation, which has demonstrated a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion within their institution and in their partners,” said Resilia CEO and Founder Sevetri Wilson. “We look forward to working together to strengthen BIPOC-led and serving nonprofits throughout the Bay area.”
Through the partnership, SFF has also joined Resilia’s Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 40+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations.
