Resilia Awards $1,000 Micro Grants to Five Nonprofits
Through its coaching solutions and technology platform, Resilia supports the work of nonprofits wherever they are in their development – from inception through achieving 501c3 status to building capacity in fundraising, program development, storytelling, and board management. The company also assists funders working to build the capacity and impact of the nonprofits they support.
Continually inspired by the incredible work of nonprofits, Resilia set up its own program to award five $1,000 microgrants to nonprofits on a quarterly basis. The company is pleased to announce the following winners of its microgrant program for the third quarter application period (ending September 23, 2022).
Adventures to Dreams Enrichment (AtDE)
Long Beach, CA
AtDE’s mission is to empower youth by teaching them to grow their own food, engaging them in enrichment activities, providing mentorship, and offering a safe environment to learn and play. AtDE is a year-round program that provides free hands-on gardening and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities for youth ages 4-16. Resilia’s microgrant will be utilized to purchase a new greenhouse and lumber to build five raised garden beds.
All Relations United
Las Cruces, NM
All Relations United utilizes the Lakota philosophy of Mitakuye Oyasin, "we are all related," as their guiding principle to unite, reinvest in, and empower their communities. All Relations United uses traditional teachings along with modern and technological knowledge to advance and promote education, culture, self-sufficiency (especially food sovereignty), as well as encourage reconciliation and cooperation among all peoples, creating pathways to living in unity.
Resilia's microgrant will support All Relations United's work assisting Oglala Lakota veterans on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota by providing seeds and tools for a community garden. It will also assist stocking a food pantry for veterans and families living on the reservation, the poorest county in the United States.
Charli's Limelight of Hope
Napoleon, MO
Charli’s Limelight of Hope is dedicated to providing support to youth and young adults in suicide awareness/prevention, mental health awareness/support, self-esteem building, and anti-bullying, as well as funding for the creative arts, scholarships, and other areas. Resilia’s microgrant will go towards initiating programs that provide funding for mental health care to individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
Feet Forward
Boulder, CO
Feet Forward empowers unhoused individuals in Boulder County by removing barriers to services and meeting basic needs such as food and clothing, as well as facilitating sustained peer-led advocacy and navigation. Feet Forward will use Resilia’s microgrant towards securing a new laptop and wireless color printer/scanner for their mobile navigation shuttle. The grant will directly assist in ending homelessness in the community.
4MyCiTy
Baltimore, MD
4MyCiTy’s focus is on the importance of sustainable management of food and reducing organic waste. 4MyCiTy’s program limits the harmful effects caused by organic waste on the environment while improving food security for families within its communities.
The Resilia micro grant will support their initiative to help feed thousands of families through food rescue operations. It will also allow 4MyCiTy to continue its work providing healthy food to families facing hunger.
Resilia is currently accepting applications for its Q4 unrestricted micro grants. To apply, see the information page for the Resilia Nonprofit Micro Grant Program. (Past applications will be automatically considered for the next cycle.)
In addition, nonprofits at every stage in their development are encouraged to sign up for the Resilia Nonprofit Platform for access to training, resources, templates, and tools to help their organizations raise funds, manage operations, and improve capacity to serve their communities.
